The Department of Employment and Labour has gazetted the newly increased National Minimum Wage with effect from 1 March 2026.
The new minimum wage for all employees, not regulated by bargaining council agreements, has been set at R 30,23 per hour.
The minimum wage for domestic- and farm workers and for Learners on Learnerships, has also been adjusted accordingly.
