The new SAPMA & NCS Colour Course

Course Outline

This course has been specifically designed to assist all members within the coatings sector to obtain a basic knowledge and understanding of colour as a visual phenomenon. This newly developed online course has been well Received by many of the architects within our sector and now SAPMA along with NCS Colour would like to extend the invite for online training to all our SAPMA members.

How the NCS System Works

Just as language has syntax and music its own note system, colour has its own distinct structure that forms the notation vocabulary of NCS.

A notation represents a specific colour percept out of the millions of surfaces colours that we can see and describes the colour visually. It is not depending on limitations caused by pigments, light rays or nerve signals that have given rise to this perception. An NCS Notation is constructed using three properties that visually describe a colour: hue and nuance (blackness and chromaticness). For more information click here....

Learning Outcome(s)

A thorough explanation of the natural colour system theory together with a series of exercises will be covered. Colour usage and design in South Africa will also be discussed.

Certification

An internationally recognized certificate of completion will be awarded to each student upon completion of the colour training module.

Dates & Duration

There are no set dates. Start immediately after registration.
You can complete the course in your own time; typically 6 - 8 hours.
